Since 1979 Discraft has designed and manufactured tournament quality plastic flying discs for all disc sports. Our disc golf line is second to none. From beginners to World Class Champion Professional Disc Golf players every where rely on the quality, consistency and durability of every Discraft Pro Golf Disc built to precise tolerances, every Discraft diver, mid-range and putter will deliver maximum performance throw after throw, round after round. Discraft's 175-gram Ultra-Star™ Sportdisc™ was created in 1981 and first introduced to tournament play at Michigan State University that summer. Over the next ten years more and more teams and tournaments began using the 175-gram Ultra-Star™. In 1991 the Ultra-Star™ was chosen as the Official Disc for tournament play by the (U.P.A.) ULTIMATE PLAYERS ASSOCIATION. A few years later the U.P.A. discs technical committee wrote the specs for all ultimate discs using the Discraft Ultra-Star™ as the basis. The Ultra-Star™ is the world standard for the sport of Ultimate. For over ten years DISCRAFT has worked closely with the ULTIMATE PLAYERS ASSOCIATION to promote Ultimate and maintain the unequaled performance of the Ultra-Star™.
