DiscShoes
Horseshoes without all the heavy metal

The game is played much like horseshoes, but as most discshoe courts are made with portable baskets, adjusting the distance to suit your ability is an added bonus.

Getting Started
1. Set up baskets 20, 30 or 40 feet apart.
2. Divide players into two even teams, and give each team two discs (putters recommended).
3. Flip discs, a coin or throw rack-paper-scissors to decide which team will putt first.
4. Have the first player from the first team throw both discs (one at a time) from anywhere behind the foul line.
5. Let the first player from the opposing team do the same, putting at the same basket.
6. Award 1 point for a disc that touches the basket or the top, 2 points for a disc that touches chains and 3 points for any putt that stays in.
7. Let the next two players (one from each team) putt from the opposite side of the court back toward your side. Add their points to the first scores.
8. Alternate putting from one end of the court to the other until all players have putted constitutes an "inning."
9. Play until one team has at least 40 points at the end of an inning (for a point-limit game) or until 40 discs have been pitched (for a shoe-limit game, in which the team with the highest score wins).
10. Play extra innings in the event of a tie.
